Bahrain Spiral Staircase

Project Location: Bahrain

Project Type: Glass    Project Industry: Residential

The owner of a major construction company in the Middle East required a very special staircase for a very special place. His personal showroom space which he uses to display his rather vast collection of high end sports and classic cars. Our brief was perhaps in the simplest of forms, large spiral stairs accompanied by a homemade sketch.

Our experienced design department hit the spot first time, presenting to the client a 3D fully rendered visualizations of a 6M diameter Canter Levered stair with 1.5M wide glass treads. The 3M diameter centre spine was designed to combine elegance and strength for support to the canter levered glass treads which were illuminated with LED lighting. FLYGHT engineers dispensed with a steel outer string by devising a support system using the toughened glass balustrade. The glass balustrade then continued for an additional 18 metres around the viewing area.

No site visits were needed, and with clear instruction the feature staircase design was completed and installed by the clients own team due to excellent project management and instruction from our team. A private man, we ar eunable to show finished pictures of the project, but we were allowed to share the design rendering.

Another dot in the map as our international client list continues to grow. In the last 12 months we have built staircases for placement in Switzerland, France, USA, Seychelles, Caribbean, Hong Kong and Australia.
